The Hofbrau Maibock was first brewed a very long time ago: in 1614 this bottom-fermented specialty filled beer steins for the first time. Munich's oldest bock beer remains as popular as ever for its full-bodied, malty flavour, and the relatively high 7.2% alcohol does not do things by halves. Best drunk from an official Hofbrau stein, and available annually from May.
