When James Squire was caught stealing the ingredients to brew the colony's first beer, he was sentenced to 150 lashes of the whip. Fortunately for the rest of us he was undeterred and kept brewing with bravery and passion, refining his beers as he went. This iconic Australian pale ale is named in honour of that drive.
