Quadrupel is the heaviest of the La Trappe beers, a magnificent amber in the glass. Matured in oak barrels, it has a warm, intense flavour that is full and well balanced: malty sweet, slightly toasted and pleasantly bitter, with a sweet aftertaste. Banana, almond and vanilla are all identifiable.
