The nose offers hints of mocha and caramel with a yeasty herbalness of clove and pepper, rounded off by a slightly sour edge. On the palate there is biscuit, caramel and pear, beautifully balanced against a slightly roasty bitterness and a touch of clove, and the finish flows away into a rounded dryness.
