How do I save restaurants?+
It’s simple! Tap the heart icon on any restaurant profile to save it to your personal favorites list. Your saved restaurants are easy to access anytime, helping you plan outings or revisit places you love. Saved restaurants also make it faster to see reviews, photos, and special offers when you need them.
Can restaurants see my favourites?+
Nope! Your favorites are private and only visible to you. Restaurants won’t know which places you love — it’s your personal food diary, keeping your dining choices just for you.
Why does my profile say “Guest”?+
You’re currently browsing anonymously, which means you can explore restaurants without creating an account. However, signing up unlocks the full foodie experience: earn Points, climb Foodie Status, get Foodie Credits, redeem vouchers, and see personalized recommendations tailored to your tastes.
Can I update my profile anytime?+
Absolutely. You have full control over your profile. Update your name, photo, preferences, dietary restrictions, and notification settings whenever you like. This ensures your account reflects your tastes and helps Restaurant Reviews give you the best personalized recommendations.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes. You have complete control. If you ever decide to leave, you can delete your account along with all personal data. No hassle, no hidden obstacles — your privacy and control are always respected.
Can I set dietary preferences or restrictions?+
Yes! You can specify dietary choices such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, or kosher. The app then highlights restaurants and dishes that match your preferences, making it easier and safer to discover meals you’ll enjoy.
Can I choose which notifications I receive?+
Definitely. You can turn on/off alerts for nearby deals, new restaurant openings, review responses, or seasonal promotions. This way, you stay informed about what matters to you without being overwhelmed.
Can I manage my privacy settings?+
Yes! You decide what others see about you. While reviews and contributions are public to help the community, personal info, saved restaurants, and preferences remain private. You control your own data and visibility.

How do I delete my account if I want to leave?+
You have complete control over your data. To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, follow the on-screen instructions, and confirm your decision. Once deleted, all your personal information, Points, Foodie Credits, vouchers, saved restaurants, and contributions will be permanently removed. The process is secure, transparent, and irreversible, giving you full control over your presence on Restaurant Reviews.
Can I change my profile picture?+
Yes! You can upload or update your profile picture anytime. A friendly, clear photo helps other diners recognize you, and makes your contributions feel more personal and engaging.
Can I add a short bio or introduction?+
Absolutely. You can write a brief bio to share your foodie interests, favorite cuisines, or special tips. It’s a fun way to express yourself and connect with the community.
Can I control location tracking?+
Absolutely. You can turn location tracking on or off at any time. With location enabled, you get nearby restaurant suggestions, local deals, and tailored recommendations. With it off, you can still browse and save favorites manually.
Can I see my contribution stats?+
Yes! Your profile shows detailed stats like total reviews, photos uploaded, Points earned, Foodie Status level, and vouchers claimed. This helps you track your progress and celebrate your foodie achievements.
Can I set dietary restrictions for my profile?+
Yes! You can specify preferences like vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, or kosher. The app will highlight restaurants and dishes that match your needs, helping you make safe and informed choices.
Can I see who viewed my profile?+
No, to protect privacy, the platform does not show who has viewed your profile. Your activity remains focused on contributions and rewards, not social tracking.
How do I change my password?+
You can update your password anytime from Settings → Security → Change Password. For security reasons, you’ll be asked to enter your current password before setting a new one. We recommend choosing a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. If you’ve forgotten your password, tap “Forgot Password” on the login screen and follow the reset instructions sent to your email. Your account security is always in your hands.
What happens if my account is suspended?+
Accounts may be temporarily or permanently suspended if they violate community guidelines, such as posting misleading reviews, spam, abusive language, or fraudulent activity. If suspended, you won’t be able to log in, earn points, or redeem rewards. Access to Foodie Credits and vouchers may also be paused. You’ll typically receive a notification explaining the reason. If you believe it was a mistake, you can contact support for review. Our goal is to protect the community while ensuring fairness.
What happens to my reviews if I delete my account?+
When you permanently delete your account, your personal data is removed from the platform and your Foodie Points, Credits, and vouchers are deleted. Your profile becomes inaccessible. Depending on platform policy, your reviews may be permanently removed or retained in anonymised form (without your name attached) to preserve community value. Account deletion is irreversible, so we recommend saving anything important beforehand.
Can I reset my preferences?+
Yes. You can update or reset your dietary preferences, cuisine interests, and notification settings at any time under Settings → Preferences. Whether your tastes change or you want to explore something new, your profile can evolve with you. Keeping preferences updated helps us personalise recommendations, rewards, and relevant promotions.
What happens if I’m inactive for a long time?+
Your account remains active even if you take a break. Your Foodie Points do not expire and your Foodie Status remains intact. However, individual vouchers or time-sensitive promotions may expire according to their terms. When you return, you can continue contributing and redeeming rewards without losing your progress.
Can I block or mute another user?+
Yes. If another user is bothering you or you prefer not to see their content, you can block or mute them from their profile page. Blocked users will not be able to interact with your reviews or view your profile. You can manage your blocked users list in Profile > Settings > Privacy. This helps ensure your experience on the platform remains positive and comfortable.
How do I enable or disable dark mode?+
You can switch between light and dark mode in Profile > Settings > Display. Dark mode is easier on the eyes in low-light environments and can help save battery on devices with OLED screens. If you do not see a dedicated dark mode option, the app may follow your device system-wide theme setting - check your phone display settings to toggle between light and dark themes.
Can I have more than one account?+
We encourage each user to maintain a single account. Having multiple accounts can lead to confusion, split your points and Foodie Status progress, and may violate our community guidelines if used to artificially boost reviews or ratings. If you have an issue with your current account, contact support - we can help you recover access, update your details, or resolve any problems without needing a second account.
Can I make my profile private or hide my Foodie Status?+
Your reviews and Foodie Status are public by design - they help other diners make informed decisions and recognise trusted contributors. However, your personal information such as email, saved restaurants, and dietary preferences remain private. If you prefer more anonymity, you can post reviews under a display name that does not reveal your real identity and adjust your profile visibility in Settings > Privacy.
What happens to my saved restaurants if I move to a different city?+
Your saved restaurants stay in your favourites list no matter where you move! They are tied to your account, not your location. You can continue to access your old favourites for future trips or nostalgia, while also discovering and saving new restaurants in your new city. Simply update your location or enable GPS to start seeing nearby recommendations in your new area.
Can I see who is following me or view my followers list?+
Yes! You can see your followers and the users you are following in your profile. This helps you connect with like-minded food lovers and see who values your recommendations. Growing your follower count is a natural result of consistently posting helpful reviews, quality photos, and engaging with the community.
